Univair Aircraft is a 75 year old company with a worldwide customer base providing replacement parts for General Aviation aircraft built between the late 1940s and 1960s.


Position Type

  • Entry Level
  • Full Time/Permanent
  • Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Salary commensurate with experience

Primary Duties

  • Engineering Design changes
  • Production Engineering
  • Work Order Entry
  • MRB authorization
  • Maintain Drawing Control
  • Maintain Engineering and FAA related documentation
  • Assist customers and Sales Staff with engineering inquiries
  • Interface with the Denver Aircraft Certification Office (ACO)
  • Service Bulletin, Letter, and Memo creation or required changes
  • Structures analysis
  • CAD design
  • Work order entry to process requests for parts to be fabricated in our facility.
  • Have a working knowledge of Univair’s Quality Manual
  • Have a working knowledge of Univair’s Process Manual No. 1
  • Have a working knowledge of CAR 3, CAR 4, CAR 4A and 14CFR Part 23 aircraft certification requirements.
  • This individual will also maintain Univair’s library of technical information.

Additional Duties

  • Perform tool and gauge control
  • This individual may occasionally be required to make appearances at trade shows and conventions.
  • Depending on work load and specific task requirements, duties may be required to “fill-in” in various capacities as needed, or any other reasonable task that may be requested by the Company President, Production, Inspection or Sales Manager.
  • Participate in our annual inventory.
  • This job requires would require that individuals be physically capable to perform their assigned tasks i.e. climbing a ladder and lifting up to 50 pounds.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or related engineering field
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite Products
  • Ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, CMM and other measuring equipment.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • This individual must possess a working and practical knowledge of light general aviation aircraft airframe, powerplants and accessory items.
  • Knowledge or experience with steel tube and fabric covered aircraft is preferred.
  • This person must demonstrate courtesy, good telephone etiquette, accuracy and the ability to “follow-up” on details.
