To issue the STC, Univair requires your aircraft's make, model, registration number, and serial number. Please enter this information in the fields above and accept the Limited Purpose Agreement.

• Applicability: Piper PA-12 180hp

This STC provides for the installation of the Lycoming 0-360-A2A 180 hp engine. The -A2A series is one of the most common versions of the Lycoming 0-360 series. It uses a dynafocal type engine mount, part number D200.

This conversion is applicable on the PA-12 landplane licensed in the Normal Category only. It is not approved for the PA-12S seaplane.

Propeller: McCauley 1A200-FA8242 fixed-pitch propeller with alternate pitches of 43 and 44 inches. Note that compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.

This is a fairly extensive modification requiring significant fabrication of parts that will have to be "hand fitted" for proper installation. There are several other components that must be used to perform this installation. These must be obtained from various vendors. They include:

The only approved propeller is the McCauley 1A200-FA8242 fixed-pitch prop. Alternate pitches include 43 and 44 inches.

STC as provided by Univair Aircraft Corporation will include engine mount and STC related paperwork only.

This is a labor-intensive conversion involving many modifications to the original PA-12 aircraft and engine systems and need to be performed by a qualified aircraft mechanic. Modifications include, but are not limited to the above list. Prior to any modification, Univair recommends that the owner/operator consult with his AP and IA to discuss the details involved with this installation.
